Lauren Ash-Morgan, actor and a member of the SSC's board since 2011, is the co-founding artistic director of the recently formed theatre company Speech of Fire. She was the Artistic Director of Seoul Shakespeare Company from 2014 until 2019. As the artistic director of SSC She was also the company's composer, musician and text coach as well as costume/set/music design. While she was usually the leader of the ensemble of actors in her final year she made her first appearance as a director (and the lighting design) for SSC's King Lear.
